FAcE-PaM has successfully conducted a 4-day intensive training for staff of the Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA) on waste management and environmental protection.
Funded by The Sanitation and Hygiene Fund through WaterAid Nigeria, this training was designed to strengthen the capacity of BASEPA staff across all 20 LGAs to improve public sanitation and adopt global best practices in waste and faecal sludge management.
Key Highlights:- ✅ Practical tools for safely managed sanitation services
- ✅ Hands-on techniques for waste collection, segregation & disposal
- ✅ Environmental protection strategies for urban and peri-urban areas
- ✅ Strengthening BASEPA’s operational and regulatory roles
Facilitators from Bayero University, Kano and other experts led sessions on public health protection and environmental integrity. Participants at the end of the training shared how the training deepened their understanding of sanitation practices.
